Fursuits are mascot-like costumes worn by people in the Furry Fandom! What, furries? Aren't they gross? No, of course not! The Furry Fandom is a growing community revolved around creativity, and a love for all creatures- especially anthropomorphic animals. Furry conventions have a main focal point of raising money for animal rescues, educating, and having a blast! And no, you don't need a fursuit to enjoy being a furry! Only about a quarter of the community owns a fursuit; however, most do have a fursona (a persona of ourselves in animal form) to express themselves.
Absolutely! Of course, they do get hot, especially with larger costumes and during warm days. Be sure to always stay hydrated and take breaks to cool off while suiting for safety! Fursuits also tend to have a limited field of vision, so take your time moving around and be careful of obstacles! I always recommend having a handler to look out for you while you are out and having fun!
Our starting general prices can be found over on our pricing page. All prices are custom on a per project basis and are subject to change, therefore they should only be used as a general starting reference point rather than the full cost. If you are wanting to know how much your specific project would cost please email us for a quote when we are open for quotes. We only give quotes at the time of openings, and quotes are only valid for that opening. So even if you applied for a quote in the past, you need a new one each opening!
We make full Fursuits, partials, heads, quad style plushies and character reference sheets.
Each bodysuit is tailored to fit snug and comfortable via the use of a body-double duct tape dummy. All body paddings and details are individually drafted and designed. Costumes are made from faux fur fabrics (horns are cast replicas etc) and only all new materials (foams, stuffing, etc) are used in the construction.
When we open we have a quote sheet up as well as an order sheet. If you are looking for a quote be sure to fill out our quote form and attach concept art. Once it has been filled allow up to a week for us to get back to you with a quote.
Quotes are valid till the next opening, once my prices change old quotes become invalid.
The chances are yes! We are happy to make just about anything - but please be advised that unusual and complicated characters will have an associated higher price tag due to the labor, research and development, and overall difficulty involved. If you are unsure if your character counts as "complicated" (wings, extensive body padding, rainbow anything, unusual requests) feel free to ask us.
Of course not! We love animals, and would never consider using their fur in our suits and plushies. We use 100% faux fur fabric, and it comes in many shades and lengths. HOWEVER, colors are still fairly limited in faux fur, so keep this in mind when commissioning!
No. We will not accept any con/holiday deadlines of any sort. While we will get your costume done in a reasonable time frame, please understand that deadlines often result in rushed work, and rushed work is not good work. We want you to have our best work, and that takes time! If there is an important event you'd like us to know about, we will do our best to accommodate and have your costume ready for you. But, we cannot make promises on this!
We cannot make any copyrighted characters! Please don't ask us to do so. We can, however, make your original character! EX: A Pokémon OC that has very distinct markings; a MLP OC that does not resemble another character in the show (main or background!)
A DTD is short for Duct Tape Dummy. It's essentially a mold of your body for us to work off of if we are making a bodysuit for your commission. Please keep in mind that these do take a few hours to make, and is uncomfortable! Gather some friends, and stay hydrated. My personal favorite guide is this one from the talented Mischief Makers!
The short answer is no, a head only commission is the minimum.
However, if you're a returning customer looking to upgrade a commission you got from me in the past, please use my contact form or reply to the original email thread! I should be able to accommodate most returning customers small orders. On occasion I may open for slots, but I will mostly have premade parts available.
Yes!
The payment plan we offer is taking 50% of the cost of the commission as a deposit, and then the remainder of your amount will be split into a monthly payment plan over the next 3 months. You can always pay in full upfront, or pay in larger amounts, but not less! We really advise having most of the money ready at the time of your commission! Late payments are not tolerated and may result in fees or cancellation.
If you don't have a reference sheet of your character, you can commission us for one! Even if you are able to draw your own character, or use free lineart online, that is okay! As long as I can see the markings clearly.
You can find this information on my HOME page. If it says we are closed, we are closed! We would however, love to discuss ideas and see your characters. We absolutely do not offer quotes/commissions when we say we are closed. It would be unfair to everyone who is interested in and waiting for our work if we gave out quotes whenever we were asked. We will announce openings on Twitter, and will update the website here too. Check back in often, or keep an eye on our QUEUE over on our telegram wip page at High Valley Creations to have a better idea of when we are getting close to finishing up our current work!
